UAB Spektrolabas implements the project “Development of Innovative Methodology for Detection and Security of Food Counterfeiting Based on Raman Spectrometry and Neural Networks” financed by the EU structural funds
The project will develop an innovative methodology based on Raman scattering spectrometry and based on neural networks to detect food adulteration and ensure product safety. The project envisages the development of three systems: 1) for determining the quality of olive oil, 2) for determining the type of meat and the composition of meat products, and 3) for determining the traces of formaldehyde in fish. An innovative solution will be introduced to the market – a mobile, informative, non-destructive method of product quality assessment, applicable in any environment, allowing accurate and fast inspection of large quantities of products by a non-contact method.
